Hi guys,

I have ordered yesterday Acer SWIFT 3 SF314-57-58TB. Now I am wondering if I can charge this laptop with usb c cable. On the specification it say the next one

USB Type-C port supporting:

USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps)DisplayPort over USB-CThunderbolt 3USB charging 5 V; 3 ADC-in port 9 or 12 or 20 V; 45 W
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Yup, that's what the "DC-in port 9 or 12 or 20V; 45 W" means, you can charge via USB-C as long as you are providing 9V, 12V or 20V at 45W. If your USB-C charger only has 5V output it won't charge, if it's got one of the higher voltages but not 45W it may or may not charge.

I just bought an Aspire 5 A515-54GE-70AG with both USB-3 (blue) and USB-C which port is has PD and can be connected to a charger, what is the minimum capacity for a USB charger?

@Puraw please start a new thread with your question. Include the full model number as you did here. Your model will be quite different than the SF314-57 in the original post.
