Hi guys, anyone who can help me?

I have helios 300 2018 version laptop (PH315-51). It has 1 x USB Type C 3.1 port and 1 x USB 3.0 port.

Question:
Why is the USB 3.0 port is much faster than my USB type C 3.1 port in terms of file transferring for both Read and Write?
Is there any solution to enable the max speed of my USB Type C 3.1 port?

Actuall speed test result using USB Flash Benchmark Tool:

Device used: SANDISK ULTRA 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Result:         USB 3.0 = 150.5mbps READ/35.6mbps WRITE (AVE.)
                   USB Type C 3.1 = 32.3mbps READ/ 17.19mbps WRITE (AVE.)

Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much ACER support.

I used a very small usb 3.0 to type C OTG adaptor attached on my external hard drive's usb 3.0 cable to laptop(via type C gen.1 port on my helios 300 2018). But i only get 30mbps transfer speed.

What is the problem? Is it my laptop port? Or my OTG adapter? Do i need a external hard drive usb 3.0 cable to type C? Instead of using OTG type C adaptor attached on my original external hard disk usb 3.0 cable?

You have duplicated your post so please ignore one of them
The USB 3.0 port on your external Hard Drive is limiting your transfer speed, any connection is as fast as it’s slowest part. To get 5gb transfer speed using USB type C, BOTH devices must have a USB type C port
