I've this month bought a brand new Predator Helios 300.

It was working great until last night when i turned on my laptop to play some Red Dead 2 the game started stuttering or freezing. sound with video.

i7-9750H
GTX 1660Ti

All drivers up to date.

Also tried to totally restore this PC but it failed saying no changes have been made.

Have tried other games all with same issue.

CPU and GPU Running cool and not under any stress.

Open File explorer, right-click the C drive, choose Properties and select the Tools tab. Click on Check in Error Checking. Let it complete. If it asks for a restart, do it. After it fixes everything, shut down PC and upon booting, do the Alt+F10 restore.

Shut laptop off. Remove charger. Gently insert paperclip into battery reset pinhole on bottom for about 10 seconds. Plug charger back in. Reboot. Try it again. Jack E/NJ

I don't believe this laptop has one, however i think I've done it by holding down the power button for 15 secs, no change.

Glad it helped. You know, back in 2017, I had a recovery drive created on a USB and got that error. I then formatted it. If only I had known this was the solution, I'd still be on Acer's stock Windows 10. But am happy with Microsoft's Windows 10 ISO.

Did you also check that system protection was turned on after re-setting in ControlPanel's restore point app? Jack E/NJ
