ACER GATEWAY NE46Rs DOES MY LAPTOP SUPPORT 5GHZ BAND??

I am using ACER GATEWAY NE46Rs laptop which supports RADIO TYPE 802.11n/g/b...

    and running on windows 7 and i am currently using REALTEK 802.11n LAN DRIVER

    it's pretty old, so i don't think it should be supported. Also the REALTEK 802.11n LAN DRIVER goes around 300Mbps, and that would equal to 2.4 GHz. so the acer GATEWAY wouldn't support 5GHz,

    It looks like that card was at the bleeding edge of the 802.11n standard. It has two antenna connections so probably should support the 5GHz band, but it might do it in a way that ended up being not supported. If you need 5GHz support you might look into swapping that card out for something newer. The current M.2 cards will not work, but the older Mini PCIe cards should work. Look first to see if it's the newer half height cards or the older full height. (I think the latter, but am not sure)
