Upgraded to a Samsung SSD. Everything is OK except my touchpad has disappeared

Touchpad has disappeared, its not listed in Device Manager nor in BIOS start up.
Everything was working before I installed a Samsung SSD. The new drive appears to working ( very well from a speed point of view ).
Any ideas what I do to address this issue.
Thanks

You may be underpowering the machine. Try removing it and seeing if its fixed

    Download a new driver.
if it's already there, the Harddisk might not be compatible with the touchpad???

    Hi,
Yes, reinstalling the Synaptics driver will resolve the problem as others have said, go to Acer support download site, download Synaptics diver and install.
    https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/support-product/5415?b=1
Download the driver, extract the .zip file, open the extracted folder and right click Setup.exe and select Run as admin.
