Aspire E17 E5-772G-76ED - where does the RAM get installed?

Hello all - my E17 came with 8GB RAM and I was hoping to order another 8GB (bringing it up to 16GB). However, when I opened it up I didn't see any RAM slots.  

Are the RAM slots hidden somewhere OR is this a machine that's limited to the factory-installed 8GB of RAM?

Also, is there any reason I couldn't install an SSD?

For your inconvenience, they're inconveniently located on the other side of the mainboard. Which, you guessed it, means removing the mainboard and a bunch of other stuff. Replacing the HDD with an SSD isn't as difficult and will likely give you more bang for the buck than a RAM upgrade anyway. Jack E/NJ

Yeah. It's awful. But the SSD will give you more bang for the buck anyway. Jack E/NJ
