Monitor keeps restarting

I've had a GN246HL for a couple years now and it has been working great, but recently a problem has started occuring. Anytime the monitor has been either in rest mode of turned off, waking it up/turning it on will cause it to start up like normal, go thorugh the acer logo and such without an issue but then it will show the desktop itself for about 0.1 seconds before restarting again. This keeps repeating anywhere from a minute to 25 minutes in a worst case scenario.

Is there a fix for this or should I simply start looking for a new monitor? It's too old for warranty. Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi @BrokeSalmon
Try a power reset on the unit by removing the power cable then holding the power button down for around 30 seconds.
    • Ensure the Monitor Cables are Secure
    • Review your DVI and HDMI Cable Configuration
    • Ensure the Monitor Cables are Not Damaged
    • Reset Power Management Options and Disable the Screen Saver
    • Obtain the latest Video Card Driver
    • Try the Monitor on Another Computer
    • Repair or Replace the LCD monitor
