The orange indicating light is solid when I tried to reset. I've tried the battery reset and it doesn't seem to change.

Please give us your exact model number for example AN515-** and please describe your problem in more detail. What was happening that caused you to want to reset the battery and the reset method you used?

Well usually when the laptop is not being charged the orange light blinks and when charging it is solid. Now the orange light is solid and I tried the power button and the battery reset and it is still solid orange. AN515-52

Is the battery charging indicated by the battery symbol on the bottom right of the Taskbar? and below is the table of indicator lights

Well I guess I didn't explain the problem correctly the first time(sorry). The laptop won't turn on and the orange light doesn't seem to be working properly, I can't seem to turn off the laptop completely.

I know you tried a battery reset but try again using this method. Unplug and hard power down by holding the power button down for 10 secs, put a straightened paperclip in the reset hole and press for 10 seconds, leave it alone for 15 minutes then plug in to charge until fully charged, power up and report back
