I'm extremely interested in the new 2020 model of the TravelMate P6, but need to know a couple of very basic things first. I want a "maxed out" version, meaning I'd like the 10th Gen i7 (or whatever version CPU is the highest end available) with MX250 graphics, 24GB RAM, and the 1TB SSD [honestly wishing that at least a 2TB version was available, but I know that hasn't been announced]. As far as the screen goes, I don't require a touch screen (to improve battery life) - but if 4k was available instead of just 1080p then I'd go for that (understanding that battery will suffer). So, here are my questions - Based on the highest performance model of P6 available for the year, when will it be available to order?, What will be the weight of the laptop AND the charger together?, What is the maximum CPU?, Maximum screen?, Is the battery user changeable?, Is the HDD/SSD user changeable? If so, can an aftermarket HDD/SSD of a larger size be used and of what maximum size?
For a little bit of background on my needs (in case you find it relevant): I travel internationally perpetually (meaning I never "go back home") and part of what I do requires low to mid level video editing (nothing too extensive, as I've used less powerful laptops with success). But here's the key point of my needs: I travel/live with a single carry-on bag only. The total weight of everything I own/carry is less than 7kg (about 15 pounds). So every gram matters, yet every bit of performance matters as well. This is why I'm excited about the new 2020 TravelMate P6. But it's also why I need as much information as possible.
A final notes: I'll order and have it delivered in the US, and will pick it up during my next available visit to that area of the world. AND I would suggest that Acer opens up a portal so that pre-sales questions like this can be asked directly to the staff/employees, and that it's easy to find that portal.
Thanks in advance
