Hi recently i notice when i turn  on my helios 500 on battery will be at 95% and will say 15 min till full charge but playing games next 2h and still will be at the same level 95% before even when i was playing battery was charging till full. Can you remove battery from laptop and use it only plugged in to adapter?

Hi, Good Morning. Sorry to hear about your issue. Kindly try the following 3 steps and check.

Try power drain by following the below steps.

     Power Drain :

    1)Unplug the AC power adapter.

2)Press and hold the Power button down until the unit goes off.

3)Search for a pinhole that has a battery symbol next to it on the backside of your laptop, insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole, press and hold it down for 25 seconds. Then release the paperclip and try to turn on the unit and check.

Try BIOS Defaults by following the below steps.

    RESET BIOS :

1.When the unit is off completely, press the power to turn on the unit.

2.Immediately keep on tapping the F2 to enter the BIOS.

3.In the BIOS, press F9 to reset the BIOS to setup defaults.

4.At the confirmation screen, press Enter for Yes to load the default configuration.

    5. Press F10 to save your changes, and restart the system. Select Yes and press ENTER to confirm.

Try uninstalling and re-installing the battery drivers of the unit, follow the steps below:

    1) In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.

    2) Right-click (or press and hold) the name of the battery driver, and select Uninstall.

    3) Restart your PC.

    4) Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Post your results after trying these steps.

I hope that this is helpful to you! If I have answered your question kindly click YES, thank you :3

Kindly click "YES" to "Did this answer the question" if my answer helped you!

Check your battery report for wear I might have a faulty one and no u can't work with the laptop without the battery neither should use it on battery only the battery its just an addon to complement the adapter when more power is needed for more performance

Schnaz You have some wear as you can see here
     actual capacity            designed capacity
    61 838 mWh          of  74 074 mWh

but not a significant amount you would be able to check the exact wear percentage with hwinfo or battery par pro but again your battery doesnt seem bad at all you should have prob about 15/20% wear or so i have 11% 50000 mWh difference from the designed capacity you have about 13000

Hi recently i notice when i turn  on my helios 500 on battery will be at 95% and will say 15 min till full charge but playing games next 2h and still will be at the same level 95% before even when i was playing battery was charging till full. Can you remove battery from laptop and use it only plugged in to adapter?
The reason your battery wont charge to 100% is because you have it plugged in all the time to the mains, and its lost its calibration, rotate the usage of your laptop to using it on battery power only (without the power charger plugged in) then, completely discharged to critical level 5% and then pug the charger in and charge it to 100%. You should do this at least once every 3 months.

This will rotate the charging cycle of your battery. This is especially relevant to new and none OEM batteries that are purchased as a replacement to the OEM, it happened to me and this is how I've solved it, as I also have my laptop lugged in the mains always and use it as a virtual desktop! Just adding to the calibrating process let it drain and recharge to 100 repeat the process 3 times for a proper calibration :)
