I have a Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52-78VL and a 1920 x 1080 60hz Samsung TV (unsure of the specific model, it’s about 10 years old). When I plug my HDMI into my TV, the screen freezes a bit while watching videos. For example, the TV screen would freeze very briefly. Though, the audio would still play on both. My PC screen would keep playing without stopping. I’ve tried lowering the resolution and changing my PC to 60hz to eliminate the lag but nothing has worked so far. What else can I do?

eligwe your problem here its most probably the tv being so old the hdmi version on it should be also old have you tried on any other newer external display/tv if you have a chance please do and its also most likely that your DP port should work much better as its directly connected to the DGPU and i suspect the hdmi port in your model passes through the IGPU thats probably why your having more issues as its not a dedicated port like the DP port :)

Thank you for the reply. I will keep all of this in mind. I have found that running programs with the dedicated graphics processor fixes the issue with the TV screen freezing.
