Annoyingly strange wifi problem on PT515-51
So.. I have this really strange issue. When I first boot up my laptop it automatically connects to my router (the 5g band) as I have set it to do so to ensure I can make use of my full internet speeds (I have 400bps) When I complete speed test I can get no more than 165Mbps. Here is the really strange part.. If I disable the wireless adapter and re enable boom speedtest goes 400 meg all the time every time.. this is until I reboot my laptop and the same happens again.. Now I work in tech support for my ISP so I know full well it's nothing to do with my internet.. I do a speedtest on my phone connected to the 5g 400 every time.. it's just a really bizarre problem with the laptop its like it auto limits itself after each reboot, I know full well it's not connecting to my 2.4 band as this has always been disconnected and doesn't even have the password remembered to connect besides I wouldn't be getting 165 meg on the 2.4 band so it's definitely not that. I have tried with download booster on and off and nothing works until I disable the wifi adapter in settings and re-enable, I'm now pulling my hair out cause it's driving me nuts cause sometimes I forget to do this and wonder why my downloads are running slower than they should be. Please help! All drivers are up to date on the laptop and so is killer wireless centre (I have also tried with this software and without still no difference...)
