so i bought this at best buy and love almost everything about it. the biggest problem is that a 9 year old Dell with a 802.11g card gets better reception than this 802.11n. all my other devices work flawlessly anywhere in my house. i can not use wifi in my bedroom which is a primary usage area as i don't have a tv there and my wife like to stream tv from her country. what a let down. i returned/exchanged for a new one today but the same issue. Acer needs to fix this. i have seen other posts where updated drivers fixed the problem but i have updated drivers on both units and neither work more than 50 feet away from an 802.11n router???? any help is appreciated or i'm gonna have to return this one too. what a near miss

Have you attempted to update the driver for the card?

Did you even read my post??  I explained that I did that in my original post. I think I am going to give up on you guys. I'm sorry but I need wifi to work as it has in my house since I moved in ten years ago on every other device I own.  I even went and got a dual band router Belkin N600 and installed that and this is the only device in my house that I can not roam the house with and have it maintain wifi sgnal enough to open and browse, god forbid trying to stream.  I have 35/35 fios and my connection on your laptop works perfect if i am in the same room with either of two different routers.

if i do not have a solution asap i am returning this for some other brand.  i can not believe that i am the only customer with this issue if i have tried two different units both with the same result.
