Hello
Of course first post and I put it under the wrong category. I tried to edit but I don't seem to be able to move categories. I hope someone can help! I bought a new laptop for the first time in years and am looking forward to setting it up. Have a couple of questions before I start.

Can\Should I set up the spare SSD first (the new computer AND the SSD are both literally directly out of the box) or should I add the spare SSD before I boot for the first time?  I am keeping the SSD that came with the machine for Windows and other programs and will be using the 1TB SSD for storage. I have a ton of photos and videos.
I am also upgrading the memory, and I guess same question, although I don't think that matters.

Thanks in advance

    Perfect! Thank you!

The "Did this answer the question" link seems to be under maintenance. I will come back to click yes in a bit.

    Hi,
It doesn't matter whether you install the 2.5" SSD after or before setup, you can install it after setting up as you intend to use it for storage, memory also can be upgraded anytime.

Here I am like a kid at Christmas with a new laptop, a 1TB sata SSD and additional memory. I got the back off, got the memory in and now I'm trying to install the sata SSD so I can start setting this baby up and I can't get 3 of the 4 screws out of the SSD mounting bracket. The first came out easily but the other 3 are stubborn and I'm afraid to strip them. Is there some trick I'm missing? Please tell me I don't actually have to send it somewhere to have that replaced. I'm pretty sure I'm ***** out of luck for tonight but a girl can dream, right? If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate any ideas you might have.

    Thanks in advance

Make sure you are using the right size screwdriver, it should fit without any play. If the screw head is buggered enough to not fit easily, just lightly tap on the back of the driver to force it to seat.
