Good morning!
I recently received my Triton 500 (I got an awesome deal from Amazon on the 2080mQ one), but have had a strange issue: Every time I restart the laptop, I am greeted with a black screen (but the boot sequence seems to still be kicking off, as the keyboard lights turn on and the fans ramp as things launch).
This happened with the stock Acer Windows image, as well as a fresh Windows install. Here is the list of things I have already tried:
- Updating to latest firmware/BIOS (I am now on v1.12)
- Fresh install of Windows 10 1909
- Updating to latest Intel UHD Graphics
- Updating to latest NVIDIA Graphics (This issue persists regardless of the GPU I am using on the desktop, iGPU/dGPU)
- Using the stock drivers provided by Acer on the support website
- Resetting the BIOS both by unplugging the backup battery from the motherboard and using the reset button at the bottom of the laptop
- Re-seating all ribbon cables on the motherboard (other than the Turbo1 cable found on the other side of the MoBo with the RAM/SSDs/chipset)
I am able to just hold down the power button on the keyboard to power it off and turn it back on without issue. What is also weird is that when I make a BIOS change and restart through that, it works fine. Not sure what else to try.
Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can provide!
