Which cooling pad do you guys recommend for the Acer Nitro 5?

Hello, I'm looking for a way to decrease my overheating problem with my Acer Nitro 5 whenever I'm playing MMORPGs like Final Fantasy 14.
I was told that I should get myself a cooling pad, and since I don't have anyone else to ask I decided to ask directly here in the Acer specific forum.
My acer nitro 5 specific model is the AN515-52-51RW. hope that helps in anyway.
I was not sure about a cooling pad actually working, since a long time ago I was told that my laptop had to be from a very specific material in order for the cooling pad to actually work and decrease the temperature.

thanks in advance.

    Good evening Nespriot !

My advice is to purchase an aluminum CFM high active power cooler pad base that has an external power source and does not use the laptop's USB.
I also advise you to purchase external mice and keyboards to prevent hand contact from causing internal heating.

I have used a few cooling pads in the past, and while they did work, the temp decrease was negligible. This is the most recent video I can find, so you can decide for yourself. The bright side is, they don't cost very much.

    I disagree.
Top quality cooler bases with well designed designs can lower internal temperatures if used correctly by over 15ºC
Several serious tests prove my claim.

Well, for me anything less than 90°C is good. I guess buying thermal paste is a good option, but I'm afraid that if I change the paste myself I might do something wrong and ruin my laptop in some way or another.

Well, the cooler I was using was way back about 10 years ago, it wasn't cheap, it was aluminum with 3 fans. Back then I was only seeing about a 5 / 8 degree change. Not bad, but certainly not 15 degree difference. I don't see this kind of tech improving over 10 years, but hey good luck and let me know if you get one and if it works for you.

Here is the model I was using back then

@Nespriot Repasting has probably proved to be the single most effective way of lowering temperatures by around 10 degrees and is not that hard to do. below video is repasting with Grizzly Kryonaut and is a step by step walkthrough. I also agree that a modern powered cooling pad is a must, at least for me

How is this cooling pad? It can be used with direct power and laptop's USB both.
