    Good Morning marwan !

First question: what EXACT model of your laptop?

Never open the lid this way.
The tea lid must be opened from the center for the power to be evenly distributed.

Please post a picture of the defect's part

Is your laptop still under warranty?
What is your country and region?

I've been having the same problem, and also seen a few other people having it too. This is definitely something that should be addressed early because it can get a lot worse- I've seen stories about plastic pieces dropping out of laptops. I'm wondering what other people who had this problem did. The obvious solution would be to send it to Acer, but I'd like to know if there are other cheaper, DIY solutions.

Annoyingly, this started a little after the warranty expired too. Admittedly, I started hearing the cracking sound while it was under warranty and didn't get it checked, so I'm to blame as well. I didn't realize that it would lead to something much worse.

I guess I forgot to explictly state my own problem- when I close my laptop, the casing opens up from the rest of the laptop slightly. I'm able to push it back in, but that's not a long term solution. I try to avoid closing my laptop as much as possible now. I'm not sure how much Acer would charge versus a third party laptop repair store, and I'm also not sure what diy solution would entail. I imagine it would be either replacing the hinges with the screen, and possibly the bezel, but this is just based off of some cursory searches, and I'm no expert at laptop repair. I've also seen a video of someone repairing the hinges of a different laptop using epoxy, though I don't know if this applies here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uypT6SDGwpA
