what sould I do to solve this? :disappointed_relieved:
First you should get the same latencymon results as notebookcheck did, see my post above

I guess they just used everything by default without any updates, if you can, try to reset windows by Alt+F12 and check what’s your latencymon results, are they similar to theirs?

how do you mean to reset windows by Alt+F12 ?

Right after pc turned on, during bios posting
But be sure to backup/save everything since everything will be deleted and restored by default
It would be even better if you reset, load windows without internet connection and then install latencymon from usb flash disk
Then pls share your latencymon screen shot

would be tricky as my GF stores lots and lots of data. need to save it first.

Bad news, I have revealed that enabling NBFC causes immediate errors in the latencymon   :'(

So NBFC is just incompatible with HD Audio, one should decide whether to have quiet fans with popping sound or loud fans without popping sound or just get rid of this misunderstanding and buy proper laptop

    That’s all  :/

interesting find. I would reather have "loud fans" with clean audio. :D how should I disable NBFC? :D

NoteBook FanControl okay. So when I'm using "coolboost" with predator sense I'm getting popping sounds. However I still have the popping sound without "coolboost" option on.

I think there is no other way to know for sure except restore win by alt+f10 without connection to the internet and run latencynmon
mine was with linux so I can;'t do
if you can share an image of acer recovery partition, I can try

btw I tried the same test on my Y540 with 9750H and it is even worse but my sound is excellent on it, I use external high quality USB DAC there though

@belik, can it be Intel's 9th-gen chip issue? Try to run it on someone's PC with an i5 9th-gen.

@XdxD I don't think so, people who work with sound use clevo laptops with the same cpu for audio production, their laptops are great for this purpose

    Is your model G3-572 ?
Can you install NBFC from here
    https://github.com/hirschmann/nbfc/releases
choose profile for Acer Predator G3-572 and check whether your latency became bad?
(you can disable or uninstall it after that)

    @XdxD
That’s interesting, so previous generation of Helios could work with NBFC properly
Maybe you have totally different hardware design, another bios not even Insyde etc
Or maybe NBFC just doesn’t work because it didn’t detect CPU Temperatures while it must, it reads it from sensors not from EC

Which Win10 build do you use?
Do you use drivers from Acer or latest from windows update?

I have Insyde BIOS, v1.22. Windows 10 build is 1909 (18363.535). I updated most of the update-able drivers from Microsoft Catalog.

The popping has been getting incredibly noticeable but now I am also able to sometimes see the desync in video and audio. Wish anyone could find a solution on how to use NBFC on Helios 300 (2019) without it ***** up the whole audio of the laptop.

Tikisin as it was already said the issue its the hd audio not compatible so its a not compatible hardware nothing can be really done about it because it cant just be replaced

I tried both 1809 and 1909 windows with latest drivers and they both behave similarly

I also found that RST optane mode set in bios (by default btw) causes lot of  spikes while AHCI mode is much better and it’s green for several minutes listening to  music from youtube

But how to solve ACPI.sys and NBFC coexistence I still have no idea

    Update.:

My OS updated itself and since than my audio playback switched from Realtek to nVidia High Definition Audio and I do not hear the crackilng and popping sounds.
  • Can you post the nvidia high definition audio driver version? You will find this information in the device manager.

you mean it's possible to use nvidia audio instead of realtek one for headphones and speakers?
