Hi all,

In September, the regular charging port on my Swift 5 got loose and stopped working, but as an easy work around I bought a USB-C charger and started working off of that.

Initially, I had a problem where the USB-C would only charge the device when the lid was closed. As soon at the computer turned on, it would show as charging for a few seconds, and then abruptly stop and the battery would start wearing down.

A friend managed to change some settings and correct it fairly easily. He claimed he changed it in the BIOS, though I now can't find any power options in there.

I was able to run it off of USB-C for several months.

The old problem of only charging while closed has now returned, and we have tried all the troubleshooters we could find online. Have changed just about every power setting, tried reinstalling all the drivers, and even reverted the system to a few weeks ago when it was working. We still can't recreate the original fix.

Any thoughts? I'm getting desperate!

Charger in question is UGREEN USB C Charger 65W USB Type C Power Adpater Max 20V/3.25A  from Amazon.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Enter the BIOS menu again. Press the F9 key to load BIOS setup defaults. Press F10 to save settings and exit. Jack E/NJ
