Acer Nitro N50-600-UR12 - White screen crashes/overheating?

Have a Nitro 50 with the RX580 card. Only had it a short time, about a week, and started getting a white screen and game crashing, or total lock-up. Seems as soon as I start to heat-up the GPU is where things start to go south. Seems okay if I just let it idle or browse the web, and normal internet stuff. Any help appreciated.

What is your exact model number for example AN515-** and is this only happening while gaming? What is the CPU (not GPU) temperature when this happens?

Only gaming, and only started today. I only use it for games. Didn't notice CPU temp, will recreate problem and see if I can get that temp.

Download and install the new AMD Adrenalin Control Center for 2020, it will update your GPU drivers and I think fix the problem. Make sure your games are imported in the Gaming Tab and launch your games from there instead of a desktop shortcut

I had installed that the other day, and uninstalled it today, thinking maybe something got borked. Though it didn't make a difference. Installed the latest version now, an incremental update from what I installed a few days ago. Will keep you posted.

Started a game to test and same result. Noticed GPU was up around 77 Celsius earlier. And before screen went blank, the GPU was up to 48 Celsius.

Just having game running (World of Tanks), but not actually playing... the GPU was pegged mostly at 100%, the temp was around 75c. Fan in GPU is running around 1785+ rpm. 76 watts of power used. Again, have game running, but not even playing. This seems pretty high to me. Just some further info, hope an answer can be found. Thanks.

Follow-up: Removed the RX580 and put my old GTX 1050ti in, and so far, no overheating. Bad RX 580 card? What next?

Try with your fans on Max with Coolboost

Didn't try that, didn't know that was even an option. First time with AMD cards and software.
