Gaming monitor from Argos

Stopped working after about 5 weeks. Line down the middle of the screen then nothing at all.
Argos said contact Acer. We did but to be honest it was a struggle understanding anyone on the phone! 
Took it back to Argos who sent it to their repairer who claims accidental damage! We have done nothing to it, it just stopped!!!! 
Waiting for Argos to give us the monitor back.
We eventually got emails from Acer asking for name , address etc and photos. We had already sent these to Acer but for some reason they were asking again.
Any help with this matter would be appreciated 👍
