Upgrade RAM to 2x16go Failure - Predator Helios 300 G3-572 - 54p8 -

Hello !

I wanted to upgrade my Ram from my actual 2x8go ram to a Crucial Ballistix 2x16go Ram 2666MHZ (this one https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B06XRBS4Y5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
and when I install the 2x16go ram my computer get a blue screen after 5 to 15 min.. With some several error message (Memory management, kernel failure, etc.) every time I restart. Sometimes it crash directly..
I am completely lost if my version of Predator support 2666 mhz.. because I actually have a 8go 2666mhz loaded (the original one) and a 2400 ballistix 8go one.

I never did a BIOS update, just change my m.2 SSD and put a ram more.

! Update ! when I succeed to last 15 min with the new 2x16 go Ram i get this CPU-Z info

Hi,
Maximum recommended speed is 2400 but you could check in Task manager and CPU-z Memory tab whether you can achieve higher speeds than 2400MHz.

Yes i Have that .. 2400 MHz... It is so weird why ? In the orignal one the kingston provided with mu computer it is written 2666 MHz.

Ok I understand. But why my computer get blue screen every time then? Sometimes it is stable until I launch a program

tillouis probably a bad sodimm did you have issues with your old ram if not the one you bought one of it or both might have memory leaks causing it to crash the os also increase your windows virtual memory to 8/10gb and make sure you still have about 20gb free at all times in the OS system drive
