Acer Display Widget VG240Y

Hello, i own a VG240Y for 8 months now.

I tried to use the display widget software but it seems it's not working as i thought

I use a default profile for desktop. I was tryng to use different settings for games, using higher contrast, VBR and the high sharpness (sorry i don't know the english exact name)

i set those things and i assigned to one of the 3 profiles i can set (action, race, sport i think)

First thing i see is that VBR is not limited to the gaming profile and this is very disappointing because it reduces brightness a lot and i don't want it to be active in desktop.

Second thing is that i assigned an application to the gaming profile and when the game starts the switch is coming but when i close the game nothing happens. i don't get the return to the default profile

This happens also when changing profiles manually .. let's say i change settings, then i navigate in the settings mode. if i select "sport" and then i go back to user...my user settings are overwrited by sport profile and i have to set again colors, brightness, contrast....

This is not acceptable. is this a bug of the software or it's my monitor?

I tried to use the Acer Widget Display software, but the message Acer Nitro VG240Y monitor is not displayed. On the Acer website
it is written that the widget is compatible. Drivers and application are also for this monitor.
Is this a bug of the Acer software?

Try this

Go to OSD ---> System

DDC/CI must be ON

If it's already On, i don't know the problem you have, i only know that if i put it on OFF i have the same error

I used the widget to try to sort a problem with power button which doesn't work I pressed the button marked power on the widget and screen went blank. It won't come on at all now. Tried rebooting no joy. Cannot access widget or menu on side of screen as only have black screen now. Nothing works. Screen is only a week old so may have to just take it back. Any ideas?
