So I recently got a PH317-53-7777. After I set up everything I noticed that the wifi was slow. Super slow.

It took some research but it seems the Killer wifi card settings had to be configured in device manager under advanced after you right click on the card and go to properties. I am not seeing any real guides online about how to set this up. Before configuring mine I was only getting like a few megabytes down and now after messing with settings I am at a stable 50-100 down.

What settings do you use?

haydaddict i dont have one mine its a Atheros Qca61x4A but the most common issues with the killer wifi adapters its the power management/mimo power save in the advanced mode/the allow windows to turn off the device to save power etc... sometimes its just a driver issue and also the wireless mode  thats the most common reasons why it will not give the full performance i have never had any issues with mine always worked great giving me exactly the same speeds as the ethernet cable connection but to those who have it please share your settings as this will help future users with issues :)

I presume you are talking about one of these "Killer E2200/E2400/E2500  Gigabit Ethernet Controller" go to  "Optimizing E2200/E2400/E2500 Advanced Driver Settings" here: https://support.killernetworking.com/knowledge-base/optimizing-e2200-e2400-e2500-advanced-driver-settings/ and then download their latest 'Killer Control Centre' software from here:  https://support.killernetworking.com/software/

For us, MIMO power save comes disabled by default from OEM. That's why we don't have Killer's problems.

Hi, maybe a little bit late, but try this. I couldn't use the net like at all, than this fixed my problem https://support.killernetworking.com/knowledge-base/slow-speeds-and-trouble-accessing-websites-with-advanced-stream-detect-enabled/?fbclid=IwAR2jdKAOi7w7WDOpx3UzKOZX5HTmUHvRfXcSiumBRCNIfHKE4MPJUlnk2SE

Exact same issue -- YouTube and downloads/updates were so slow when brand new.  Seem to have fixed it though after several unnecessary wipes and reloads across two days.  Always defer to the Killer instructions for uninstalling and installing driver and tool, but here is what worked -- very easy after diagnosis through trial and error.

Test it this way:  (1) Go to the settings in the Killer application and UNCHECK the automatic prioritization OR (1) Keep the updated Killer drivers, but delete the Killer software itself.  For whatever reason, with bandwidth prioritization ON from the software it kills downloads, YouTube, and general surfing.  Using both methods above confirmed that was it.  Killer gave me instructions for editing a .dll setting but I have not needed to; something to do with the way ISPs see your data packets under the engine according to killer, but I am not sure about that since just ignoring priority fixed it.  You could turn it on again for gaming sessions.  Did not have to change any other settings.
