Hey everyone,
So the chromebook is in recovery mode and I can't get it to boot from an SD or USB. I have followed all of the online instructions I can find, such as downloading a new OS from the google recovery tool and trying to boot up. When I do insert a tool, nothing happens. I have put it into Dev mode and gotten no results. I have disable OS verification and cannot exit Dev mode. It is connected to WiFi (no ethernet port on the laptop) and connected to power, but no movement. The screen says to insert a USB or SD card, and code either says "EC software sync error updating EC" or Recovery Button Pressed as recovery reason. Any tips, hints, tricks or methods to solve?
Thank you so much!
Bryce K.

If there is no battery reset pinhole or button, I suggest that you remove the charger and bottom cover. Disconnect the battery pack. Press and hold the power button for about 30 secs to drain all residual charge. Then reconnect the pack, button it back up and try it again. Jack E/NJ

Do the same as recommeded earlier. Press and hold the power button till the machine shuts off. Remove the charger. Then insert a paperclip into the battery reset hole on the bottom for about 30 seconds. Plug the charger back in. Try to turn it back on. Jack E/NJ

We don't have all that much info on Lenovo laptops here... If they put a battery reset button on them then the procedure should work the same.
