I just bought an AN515-54-57VK during black friday.

I had no issues installing mint 19.2 other then needing one of the newer kernel version to use the network card. But I now tried to plug in a HDMI cable into the laptop and the display aswell as the laptop didn do anything. I tried looking at the hdmi port with xrandr but it doesn't show any hdmi port. Does this mean the hdmi port is broken?

Hope someone has a fix for this issue that doesn't include bringing it back.

I am running the Nvidia 435.21-0ubuntu0.18.04.02 drivers. Also tried xserver opensource drivers and the 430.50 Nvidia drivers.

    Good Morning FrankRidder !

In Windows does the port work normally?

I just installed windows and dual booted and yes it does work properly in Windows so it is not the hardware that is faulty. (Saves me a trip to the store )
