The laptop fans started making a really highpitched sound. I went to predator sense and turn the fans to max to see if the fan needed to blow out dust or something. It didn't change the sound so I shut down and restarted. Now the cpu fan is showing 0rpm even under load. I even tried to force start it with predator sense with no luck. What could this be? I am the second owner of the laptop but it's only 1 year old.. am i under warranty?

If the laptop purchase date on the proof of original purchase shows under an year, you should be good.

DOTHEYCOOK if its over 1 year and if you live outside US/CA its probably out of warranty even the 2 year warranty in the US/CA its only valid for the 2017/18 models the all the new 2019 were changed to 1 year unless you bought extended warranty i suspect youre out of the period also if your fan is physically stopped you have to replace it asap dont use the laptop until you do so
