Hinge fragility nitro 5 (AN515-52)

It's been 2 months today having bought the acer nitro 5 (AN515-52). Though i haven't got any performance related issues(yet), the laptop seems really fragile. One thing is, at the back of the right hand side hinge,the gap between the front and back bezels seems comparatively more than the left side and I am kinda able to press the 2 bezels together. I saw several other users having issues with hinges.Also,above the right side back vent(the one for the fan),where it connects to the red nitro label I am sort of able to press the plastic and it makes a sound when i do that,and I am dead scared.Will the laptop last even 2-3 years?

Since its just 2 months old. just call the acer support to be on safer side. Check the link below.

It's a known problem and as @christy1 says, it is under warranty so Acer should fix it

I'm sorry to hear that you're running into issues with hinge. I can certainly understand the frustration, but hinges have been failing on clam-shell notebooks for as long as they've been built, and that's not just related to Acer, a quick google search replacing Acer for another manufacture is sure to produce the same results.

Unfortunately, the hinge is the weak point in a folding process that also has to be a hollow enough to allow for wires to pass through and not krinkle them. They take all the stress created when opening the device, but it also has to be capable of moving to allow anyone (think children) to open it. I know we've continued to make improvements and modifications to the way hinges work, but if someone was to come up with a way to prevent hinges from failing the way they've done in the past, they would extremely wealthy.
