Hi,
I just bought an A515-43-R19L on amazon and added 8gb ram stick, 12gb in total.
It works fine, I really love it!
But I don't like windows 10 mode s becuase I need to install GNS3, Cisco Packet Tracer, and other apps.

I tried to upgrade to win 10 home and it doesn't work:
Windows Settings > Upgrade and Security > Activation > Switch to Windows 10 Home: (Go to the Store to switch to Windows 10 Home),
but says...

"Try that again, Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help.
  Report this problem.
  Code: 0x80131500
  CV: owPS4WNTD0GUSCtB"

Then tried to install another OS from an usb drive.

F2 to enter Bios, Menu > Main > F12 Boot Menu [Enable],

At ... Menu > Boot:
Boot Mode: [UEFI], there is not more options than UEFI.
Secure Boot: [Enable], this option is greyed (locked)
Boot priority order:
1.Windows Boot Manager

When press and hold F12 at boot, it goes to Boot Manager and shows as follow:
Boot Option Menu
1.Windows Boot Manager

It does not show my usb drive, which I think it wierd because I certainly can use that drive to boot from usb another desktop pcs at home and in my office.
The usb drive contains ubuntu and several utilities like gparted and kaspersky rescue disk.
Is there something that I'm missing/forgetting or I just ignoring?
Any idea?
Thanks in advance for your time and your answers.-

    Hi Tom2019
    Thanks for your input.
I did what you told to me.
Now when hit F2 to enter into bios, supervisor password is asked.
Enter a password to get into bios is not what I wanted to but it doesn't matter. lol

    At ... Menu > Boot:
Boot Mode: [UEFI], still UEFI is the only option
Secure Boot: [Disable], this option unlocked now

    Boot priority order:
    1.Windows Boot Manager

When press and hold F12 at boot, it goes to Boot Manager and shows as follow:
    Boot Option Menu
    1.Windows Boot Manager

Still does not show usb drive to boot from :(
    Any suggestion?

Hey Qu4k3r, any luck with possible solution?  My laptop is less than a month old & I discovered BIOS & boot order is not like any other PC that I have owned (an issue that would've been really important to know prior to purchase).  This is my 1st computer with Windows 10 S.  I heard a lot of negative comments so I disabled It, I haven't read if it is related to our type of malfunction.  Not looking forward to web searching for weeks to never find a possible solution.  So, my question to you is; "Has Acer IT contacted you with any solutions?", if not im returning mine I have too many computers in different stages of operation & I do not want to add another one.

    I booted from USB finally!

    How?

Just created another usb boot drive selecting GPT UEFI option instead of MBR BIOS/UEFI which is the option used to create the usb boot drive I normally use.

    That's all.

    Thanks to everybody.-
