Hey guys I am having a serious issue with my predator wherein my laptop keeps shutting down if there is even a minor disturbance to it or if I take it off power...

I encountered this issue a few days ago wherein the laptop won't start unless I plug on an AC adapter. Post connecting I see the battery at 100%, Checked the health of the battery in Acer Care Center which said its in a good condition.

Multiple googling lead me to a solution wherein this shutdown was supposedly caused by a loose screw in the chassis of the laptop.

So today I opened up my laptop completely and checked all the screws and found them all to be tight.

Post the above, the problem still persisted although now my battery does not charge. It is fixed at 60% even though an AC adapter is connected to the laptop.

I am at work and I require my laptop to constantly use AutoCAD and other design softwares. The service center is about a 100 miles away and I would need to take a holiday which isn't possible.

Any solutions would be highly appreciated.

Note: ( Solutions already Tried)

1. Reset the battery by inserting pin.
2. Repeated the above 2-3 times in a row.
3. Checked for all screws and they are all tight.
4. No issues of drivers detected in device manager.
5. Uninstalled and updated battery and AC drivers.

PC Specifications :

1. Model : Predator G3-572
2. RAM : 8GB
3. Processor : i7-7700HQ @ 2.8Ghz
3. HDD: 128GB SSD & 1TB HDD
4. Graphics : 4GB Nvidia 1050Ti
5. Purchased in 9-2017, Warranty till 9-2020

I'd be greatly thankful for any form of assistance as I need this resolved asap as I am on project site.

@Ispawn2pwn Well at this point my suggestion if still on warranty send it back to get it checked asap but by what you stated seems to me the issue might be the battery itself might need replacing check your battery wear either with the battery report or battery bar pro

    (Solved)

The problem was that the ram reset slot kept coming back up. I stuffed a small paper wrap in and that solved my problem entirely. This slot is next to the screw opening on the ram cover.

It's called the interlock kill switch (not all models have it) it kills the power to avoid any short circuit if not properly pressed the laptop might not switch on/black screen etc glad you found out the issue because with time the part that presses it down gets wear and might not press it properly anymore also opening the ram compartment multiple times might cause the same wear issue 😊
