Cannot uninstall an app

This is probably a silly question, but I am trying to uninstall an app on my Chromebook and am not having any luck.  I've googled it, and everything I read says to click on Launcher, then right-click on the app and select Remove.  Alternatively, you can use Shift-Search-Volume Up.  Neither of these methods is working.  When I right-click on the app, it just opens.  Any suggestions?

    Hi @TexasAg ,
Image result for how to uninstall app in chrome book

    Uninstall an app

    1. In the corner of your screen, select the Launcher Launcher and then Up arrow Up arrow.
    2. Right-click the app you want to remove. Or, on your keyboard, press Shift + Search + Volume up.
    3. Select Uninstall or Remove from Chrome.
    4. Select Remove.
Hit Accept if its useful :)

TexasAg If you have touch screen on this Chromebook just tap and hold the app icon and then tap uninstall..

    (Or)

Performing a right-click on the Chromebook's touchpad is easy once you know how.

Right-click: Click or tap the touch pad with two fingers, or hold Alt while using one finger.
A right-click has nothing to do with the right or left side of the touchpad. It also is not a double-click.
