As the title states, I'm trying to find more information about the USB-C 3.1 (Gen 1) port on my Predator Helios 300.  I've looked through the User Manual and it's pretty cryptic.
  • Is it purely data transfer at 5gb?
  • Capable of receiving power (charging laptop battery via USB-C source?)
  • Able to support video playback; more specifically "has a full-function USB-C connector that supports Display Port 1.2 Alt Mode and PD2.0."
Below is the only information I was able to obtain from the user manual:

    Hello,
    USB-C specifications of G3-572:
    1. USB P.D. (Power Delivery) not supported
    2. DP (DisplayPort) not supported
    France

dr0pthehamm3r as @laurent_14 stated and very well it will only support data doesnt support video output neither battery charging but the usb 3.0 would probably support multiple displays via dock but it would be very low performance so the only reliable port that you have its the hdmi 2.0 port which its directly connected to the DGPU and it would support 1 display up to 240hz check here for a list of compatible and tested displays :)
