I am using Aspire F15 (F5-573G-70EB) with Manjaro linux latest edition KDE.The LAN device seems recognized by the distro.
I recently got a Gigabit switch and switched to wired connection. This is the first time I try the LAN port and it is not connecting
Is there a LED for LAN connection like Power LED in front of the laptop?
LED light in switch port is on and green as well as the LAN port in the router. I think it should connect out of the box.
I have not made anlmost any changes to the fiber optic router I have, nor the switch.
Problem should be with the LAN port.Right?

    Good afternoon medhunter !

    Starting with the basic test:
Did you use another Cat5 UTP cable to test?

Install and use nmapr to list port functionality and post a print here.
