PC working on Windows 7. Old Samsung monitor failed, now replaced and installed new Acer 222. Only output from PC to monitor is DVI, which is OK for the monitor, and no other cable was provided.  Since nothing has changed in the PC or the mouse, why do most mouse clicks now NOT respond?  Is VGA connection necessary to solve this - if so I cannot use the monitor, as there is no corresponding VGA terminal on my Windows 7 HP PC.

    Hi StainlessStevie

    Uninstall any conflicting mouse software

you have a Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer, open the Programs and Features item in Control Panel. To do this, click Startwindows icon, type appwiz.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

If you have a Windows XP-based computer, open the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel. To do this, click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
