Helios 300 won’t turn on after not shutting off properly

The past few nights when I shut down my laptop in hasn’t shut off properly, fans kept running and light indicator was still on, as such I’ve had to force shut down. 
Now it won’t even turn on, I somehow managed to get it into the bios ONCE and reset to defaults, tried restarting it after and nothing. Same problem again. Predator logo doesn’t Show up except for the one time I got into bios.

other issues that might be related:
- dGPU hasn’t worked ever since I got this laptop
- windows 10 updates always puts the laptop into recovery mode, so I disabled them

tried:
- booting into bios and resetting to default settings
- internal battery reset with pinhole

update: left it alone for 50 minutes and it turned back on normally, I expect this to happen again though the next time I shut it off so how do I go about preventing this?
