Basically Even when I have the laptop plugged in, it feels like the brightness isn't up all the way or that the screen is too dark. It dims itself depending on what I'm doing and gets slightly darker. Is there a way to keep my brightness up all the way?

    Hi,

Please make sure that the battery is fully charged..

    • Select action center  on the right side of the taskbar, and then move the Brightness slider to adjust the brightness. (If the slider isn't there, see the Notes section below.)

    • Some PCs can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions. To find out if your PC supports this, go to Settings  > System > Display. Under Brightness and color, look for the Change brightness automatically when lighting changes check box, and then select it to use this feature. This automatic setting helps make sure your screen is readable wherever you go. Even if you use it, you can still move the Change brightness for the built-in display slider to fine-tune the brightness level.
    Kindly follow the steps below..
    • Turn off the keyboard backlight:
Hold the Fn key, and press the F9 key four times to turn the backlight off. Your keyboard backlight should dim each time you press the F9 key while holding FN.
    • Increase backlight brightness:
Hold the Fn key, and press the F10 key to dim the backlight. Your keyboard backlight should brighten each time you press the F10 key while holding FN.
    • Decrease backlight brightness:
Hold the Fn key, and press the F9 key to dim the backlight. Your keyboard backlight should dim each time you press the F10 key while holding FN.
    • Turn backlight off after 30 seconds:
Press the Predator key above the number pad, then click the Settings icon. Move the toggle for "Backlight off after 30 seconds" to the off position.

Note: The F9 and F10 keys are on the top row of the keyboard, and are labeled with the icons  and .

BinBagel are you on performance mode when on AC if youre on balanced that might be the issue as windows adjust the settings itself for best battery saving even on AC when on balanced mode

Even with my power mode on acer or balanced, the screen still dimms depending on what I'm looking at. I can't find a setting that turns it off
