How to fix PXE-E61 problem on my Aspire M1641 desktop

URGENT - I really need to access old files and pictures on the desktop listed above. It stopped opening a few years ago. The line "PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable" makes it seem like an easy fix but I'm very nervous about leaving it at a geek shop. Any super smart techies out there with good advice ?? By the way, the drop down menus on this website don't list this exact model #. I'm in Montreal, Quebec - could that be the reason?

    Good Morning WYNNE !

    This error usually occurs for 2 causes:
    Bios is configured to boot from the network card (in which case you should disable this option) or NUC does not find the Windows installation on the HDD which may be in error.
