Around a month ago I brought a new monitor the KG251Q. So a few days ago I was gaming on it, suddenly my monitor showed a black screen, I thought my computer crashed but the audio was still running perfectly I then waited around 5 minutes to see what will happened and nothing did. I tried checking my display port cable and it wasn't loose, the monitor still showed the blue light on the bottom right corner, I then tried to unplug the power cable of my monitor and see what will happened when I plugged it back in my monitor won't turn on, it usually shows light on the bottom right corner but this time it didn't. I then tried to use a different power cable but I got the same results. Are there any suggestions on what I should do

    Hi,

    Here are a few suggestions..

    1.  Try this monitor on a different computer and check.   If the monitor is working fine on a different computer then it is not a monitor issue.

    2.  Try a different monitor and connect it to your computer and check.   If the other monitor is working fine on your computer then it might be a issue with your original monitor.

If the failure points at the monitor, contact Acer support for warranty service. You might try a full power reset first though, unplug the monitor then press and hold the power button for 30-40 seconds. Plug it back in and see if it comes up. You can also test a bit by trying to bring up the on screen menu... If that works it's less likely to be the monitor itself.
