Newly bought, barely used. The laptop supposed to has a GeForce gtx 1050 with Intel UHD 630 graphics. I tried msinfo, device manager and opening the bios. Yet, still I need to locate my discrete gpu. I did tried playing rome 2 total war at the lowest settings and I have a horrible fps at 10-15 and the game says low memory. I checked nitrosense and says my discrete gpu is idle. I did try downloading drivers at nvidea and acer care center and it says can't find the nvidea hardware when I try to install it. Only the Intel HD 630 graphics is showing in the Display at the device manager, msinfo, dxdiag. I'm using windows 10 purely stock with no updates. I tried to open the bios but the bios had no options in changing what gpu to use and also no way in finding it. I only found intel. I'm starting to get cranky now that I bought a laptop with no dgpu.

The option to select graphics card is in the Nvidia Control Panel. Are you able to locate that?

Nvidea control panel is nowhere to be found. I even tried searching it in the windows explorer. The funny thing is in the program files there is an nvidea folder with only a handful of files. And when I try to install drivers it say can find nvidea hardware. The only files that I saw is nvcontainer.display, nvtelemetry container.exe.

Download and run DDU for a clean uninstall of all Nvidia files, reboot. Download Updated Nvidia drivers from link below and do not install GEforce experience, let me know if that works.

Which one should I choose? The standard driver or dch?

I have tried ddu and after uninstalling everything and reinstalling the newest nvidia driver manually I get the same results. Cannot find nvidia hardware.

It also shows graphics driver not compatible with windows version and cannot find graphics hardware. It's the latest driver that I have downloaded version 436.... The laptop was preinstalled with 399.. version.

Then this is not a driver problem.

I have tried everything except for the bios update and opening my laptop. Don't want to risk warranty. I have tried enabling my dgpu at cmd and still not detecting my dgpu.
