The battery of my Acer laptop does not charge when the laptop is connected to the adapter. There is a message "will not be charged". The laptop works on the mains. I have ordered a new battery, but the problem remains the same. The adapter is probably okay, because I measured its current and this was 19.2 volts. What should I do?

Try to uninstall the battery driver by going to device manager and restart the unit, if still issue persist than try to change the battery and check.

Thank you for your answer. How do I uninstall it? Do I have to click on 'remove device'? I have clicked on 'update driver' but it says it has the most recent driver.

Thank you for the help, but it didn't work… It's still the same problem. Also, the light that normally goes on when you are charging starts to blink and than turns off. What else can I try?
