Laptop disconnects while gaming Aspire 5 A515-51G

I own an Acer Aspire 5 A515-51G laptop with the following configuration:
I5 8th Gen
Nvidia MX150 GPU
Win 10 x64 latest build
8 ram.
Non-removable battery
1TB SSD

The issue I'm facing is whenever I start playing games, the charger keeps connecting and disconnecting every few minutes. This issue doesn't arise in regular usage but only during gaming. The problem started a few weeks ago but it was very minor at that time, maybe once or twice a day. However, off late, it keeps happening every few minutes into the game. Every time it disconnects, I've to remove the pin and put it back in. This is not restricted to any one game but happens to all.
Things I've done so far:

1. Changed the AC adapter, it's an original one with the same output and everything as supplied by Acer with the laptop
2. Ran extensive GPU stress tests to see if it's a GPU issue but the issue didn't arise during any GPU stress test.
3. Clean reinstall of drivers.

I'm really at my wit's end now as to what can be done without sending it to the service centre.

Have you tried resetting battery ?

If problem still persist try this

1. Press windows button or got to start
2. Type Device manager
3. Go to Device manager expand Batteries
   
4. Right click Microsoft ACPI-compliant Control 
   
5. Go to properties tab
6. Uninstall the driver in Driver tab
   
7. Restart the device

Windows will automatically install the driver.
