I mean repasting, overclocking, unvdervolting and e.g would void official Acer warranty so we can't do anything by ourself. This guys just trying to avoid the standard warranty. I just want to know if that normal practice for Acer managers to claim something and than ignoring it. I wasted 1.5 months with them and want to warn people about Acer UK.sri369 said:Let us leave the manager here, and if you are willing to look at it, people on this forum can help you. Most of us here are not Acer employees and try to help each other out.
Also, repasting helps in reducing temps, true, but there are many other ways you can reduce your laptop temps. There are multiple pinned posts on here for the same. Have a look at them, and let us know if you want to proceed this way.
They would not, if are within limits.lightofheaven said:I mean repasting, overclocking, unvdervolting and e.g would void official Acer warranty so we can't do anything by ourself. Yeah but its not the case if you play World of Warcraft on low settings. It's not a Witcher 3 or AAAA games.sri369 said:They would not, if are within limits.
Most people here have undervolted their CPU by about 100 to 125 mV and it is all fine. Mine is set to -125.
Overclocking on laptop CPU is not recommended and would only heat it up more.
Pasting is a more complex people, and only a few have done that.
There are many other ways to be done:
1. Undervolt CPU
2. Optimize power plan
3. Optimize windows
My laptop was in the 90s when I got it. With just the above changes and on windows 1903, my temps are normally about 75 with occasional peaks to low 80s.
And keep laptop underside well ventilated.
Now that's a case, yes! Cos for me playing mid level games like diablo 3, even on highest, pretty stays in 60s.lightofheaven said:Yeah but its not the case if you play World of Warcraft on low settings. It's not a Witcher 3 or AAAA games.
