Acer Nitro 5 AN515-52.- GTA 5 Stutters and FPS Drops after 15 mins of gameplay.

Hey so I've been playing GTA 5 for the past 4 months or so. When I first downloaded it, I was running it at 60fps without any issues or stutters. But I had to re-download the game due to some corrupt files. After barely 15 mins of gameplay, I'm experiencing severe fps drops and stutters (from 60fps to 15fps). I've been playing some other games too and i'm having the same issues. I've checked the thermals and my CPU and GPU doesn't seem to be thermal throttling. I've also checked if my gta was using the dedicated graphics card and it seems like it does. I'm not sure if it's linked to some sort of drivers update or something but it's really annoying.

Hi lawrence_
You can Try the Below Steps:-
Open NVIDIA Control Panel (right-click mouse on Desktop to select it) and then within "Global Settings," make sure these changes are applied:
• CUDA - GPUs set to "All"
• Maximum pre-rendered frames, set to "4"
• Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration set to "Single display performance mode"
• Power management mode set to "Prefer Maximum Performance"
• Threaded optimization set to "On"
• In the left panel under Configure Surround PhysX, specifically set it to your current GPU

Download and run DDU to do a clean uninstall of your current Nvivdia drivers then go here and download and install updated Nvidia drivers. Then do as TECH_MAN says above. Also do not install GEforce Experience, instead check back monthly for driver updates.

I couldn't find the "Multi-display/ mixed-GPU acceleration" setting but I changed the other settings and it worked thanks.

Even mine also have the same problem i play gta 5 at low settings even it drops to 60 to 25 fps i dont know why i tried all settings but it couldn’t fix can someone help me the laptop is only 1 year old it shutters a lot
