Helios 500 (Ryzen 2700) M.2 (970 Evo Plus) install in second slot

I am keeping the 256 in the original slot and am adding the 970 into the spare slot. My question, do I have to download anything or can I just plug it in and get it working? I don't care about copying the startup etc. if I don't have to.

For your information, I am a video editor and need the extra space to store clips and edit from.

Thank you so much!
Jacob

Poor_Bear as i said above those are the 2 options you have you cant have 2 nvme drives at the same time in the ryzen variant because the other slot its sata only will not support nvme so whoever told you to do so he is completely wrong and he doesnt know the specs of the mobo ram slots either
