PT515-51 Triton 500 and Adata SX8200 Pro issues
Has anyone installed an 1TB Adata SX8200 Pro into a Triton 500? I went to upgrade the thermal paste, Ram, and NVME drive and could not get a boot. I cloned the WD drive that was currently in the laptop to the Adata SX8200 Pro and inserted the SX8200 into the Triton 500 and tried to boot only with that drive. It would sit at the initial loading screen with the circular dot loading. It would not boot at all, or do anything. Then I tried booting with both the WD drive and the SX8200 Pro and it would not boot at all again. When I removed the SX8200 and booted only with the WD Drive it worked like normal again. Has anyone had success with this drive and booting or can you only use it for extra storage instead of cloning the original drive over. I also noticed when I was cloning the drive over that the WD that comes with the laptop actually comes with an 8mb unallotted section, I thought about including this to try with the SX8200 Pro but decided not to pull apart the computer again until I research. The drive was tested before cloning the original WD Drive, and it worked perfectly fine. Also with an external NVME enclosure the drive shows up perfectly fine and runs fine, so there is no issues with the SX8200 Pro.
Also a thing I noticed is that the Triton 500 does not like NVME drives with chips on both sides due to poor construction by Acer. It fits but bends the SSD a little with the screw if you have chips on both sides.
