Hi guys ! I have an acer predator helios 300 and today i noticed a huge problem with my laptop. Even tough it's plugged in the battery is not charging. It stays at 0% . I don't know what to do . I read some articles and noticed that there could be a problem with some screws not being fixed in the RAM space on the bottom of the laptop . What should i do ? any solutions from someone who had the same problem. Thank you.

    Hi RzV11
Please perform a power reset and check if the issue is resolved.
Disconnect the charger. Please check for a battery reset PIN hole at the bottom of the device.
The reset hole would have a battery symbol next to it. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds.
Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power. Reconnect the charger and power On the laptop to check the charging issue.

If the issue persists, open device manager, under the Batteries category, Uninstall "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery". Then in Device Manager taskbar, click Scan for hardware changes. After device manager detects Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery component and restores it, restart your computer and issue should be fixed.

Please post back and let me know if you need more help.

    1 check your charger ,
    2 . Check charger port
    3. check battery condition.if it is Good or.not.
    4. perform reset .

I RECENTLY FIXED THIS ISSUE ON MY UNIT ACER PREDATOR HELIOS 300 PH315 51 78NP IN WHICH AT FIRST I WAS THINKING THE BATTERY WAS FAULTY. IT WAS A COUPLE OF WEEKS THAT I DISCOVERED THAT IT WAS A DRIVER ISSUE NOT THE BATTERY ITSELF SINCE WHEN I FINISHED UPDATE ALL MY DRIVERS USING THIRD PARTY DRIVER UPDATER ( I WILL INCLUDE THE LINK AT THE END) MY PREDATOR IS CHARGING! EVEN THOUGH BEFORE IT WILL CHARGE ONLY WHEN IT REACHES 80 - 90% OR THE LAPTOP IS IN THE FULL LOAD STATE. I UPDATE THE BATTERY DRIVER AND VIOLA IT FIX MY PROBLEM!

Seriously getting upset with this. I have owned Acer laptops since 2004, and the helios 300 predator is my third one (my nitro is used by my 9yo and my aspire I had to trash since it didn't do windows 10, it was a 2004 laptop after all, but still worked). However, this is the first time I am ready to throw it out and never come back to Acer. The bloody Helios 300 lasts like an hour now while ON THE CHARGER playing Fortnite with my kids. No laptop should run out of charge while on AC EVER, that is just poor engineering. I tried the uninstall reinstall ACPI battery blah blah 6 times, but it's never more than a temporary fix. It wasn't like this in the beginning, where I could play for as long as I want when plugged in. Either Windows effed up or you guys need to update your control software to make this go away. I have been a pretty loyal Acer customer, but this is ridiculous.

I tried to reset the battery 2-3 times also reset my laptop to factory data. but still problem did not solved.
i also checked my battery health on acer care center app and it show that my battery health is good.

Hi, I have Acer helios 300 with gtx 1050ti and Intel I5. I had similar problem, it started about 1 year ago, some times my pc stopped charging, and I had beep that charged is "disconnected", but it happened rarely, but now it is impossible to do something on pc, every minute it stops charging and you get notifications that low battery, my first solution was to delete batery in device manager, bat later on because of updates I had to restart my pc, and after restart problem was back. Tried different updates, driver updates, nothing worked. This time I tried to reset my battery with battery reset button on bottom of pc, then I removed batery from pc and put it back, disconnected battery charger cable from motherboard and connected it back. Now it finally works, I don't know witch is the right solution, but I think it wouldn't hurt to try all off those things.

m very unimpressed by Acer on their official response. Literally post it to us it's broken? Yet it charges until opening and running a game. Clearly it's a software/driver issue?
