So I recently got the XB273K 4k 144hz monitor. I had issues with the cable that came with it. Talked to customer support and they basically said try another cable. Problem is, I dont have another Display port cable with the 1.4 standard required to run 4k at more than 60hz. I plugged in a display port cable with the 1.2 standard and everything works fine. I can run at 4k 144hz but im not understanding how? 1.2 standard only supports 4k at 60hz. Can someone explain to me how im doing this? im losing my mind trying to figure it out. I confirmed with dell that this cable is a 1.2 standard.

Likely the cable exceeds spec. That's not too unusual on the better manufactured ones.

which kind of issues you have? I have constant visible flickering all the left side with displayport cables out of the box. Im ready to rerurn it. Should I try a new cable?
