Are Spin 13 models w/ i5-8250U processor &USB-C able to use either HDMI or Display Port Monitors ?

I want to buy a few Chromebook Acer Spin 13's with the i5-8250U processor and USB-C. I need to know if they support either HDMI monitors (and if so what display frequency and which version of HDMI) or Display Port monitors using an adapter.

I contacted Acer using sales chat. They did not know so they asked me to email my question. I emailed my question twice but have received no reply. I called sales support 3 times. The first time they said chromebooks don't support external monitors. I know this is untrue because my old 14 does. The second time they were confused. The third time they said their system has no information on this but their inclination is Spin 13's do but they are not sure and they suggested I post my question here.

I have a very short window within which to make my purchases and I need to be certain I understand comparability. Does anyone know if "Spin 13 models w/ i5-8250U processor &USB-C able to use either HDMI or Display Port Monitors Using an adapter?"

Good afternoon MrC !

First you have to enter which EXACT model of the Spin series laptop.
Most only have USB Type-C 3.1 Gen1 which does not allow video signal transfer.
Gen2 high performance equipment only and Thunderbolt support.

It is crazy. If you look at these units in the store they have one specification and if you look at them in another Acer page they have different specifications. It is difficult to know what to trust. This is why I want to get someone's first-hand knowledge, if possible. It is difficult to imagine a Chromebook at the $700 to $1500 price point not supporting HDMI and Display Port external monitors; certainly they support some external monitors.

For the CP713-1WN-53NF:

Acer Store (https://store.acer.com/en-us/laptops/chromebook/chromebook-spin-13-cp713-1wn-53nf) lists the following:

Number of USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C Ports	2

In another part of the Acer website (https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/professional-model/NX.EFJAA.005) it lists the same unit with these specs:

USB Type-C port supporting:

USB 3.1 Gen 1 (up to 5 Gbps)DisplayPort over USB-CUSB charging 5/9/15/20 V; 3 ADC-in port 20 V; 45 W

If you go to the Acer site via this link https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/professional-models/laptops/acerchromebookspin13 and look at the specs, they all list the following:

I'd really like to make a purchase and have a very tight window in which to do so but they seem confused and there seems to be no way to speak to anyone with authoritative knowledge.
