Headset Has Echo

I have a wired line in headset (Turtle Beach PX24 without Super Amp) that is plugged into my Acer Predator Triton 500 laptop (product name Predator PT515-51), and the headset sounds terrible. There is a slight echo on all sounds which makes everything sound like garbage. I even plugged in my brother's random Sony headphones too and they also had the same echo problem, which makes me believe that the problem is not with the headset itself. Also, when using the built in laptop speakers or even my Bluetooth earbuds, there is no echo. Because of all of this, I think that the issue lies in the laptop not recognizing any line in audio devices. Even with the headset plugged in, it still says that the output device is the Realtek(R) speakers. When plugged in, there is no device for the headphones in the sounds control panel. When the headset is plugged in, the only devices that are in the control panel are the Realtek(R) speakers, the 3 display ports, and those Bluetooth headphones that I mentioned, which I have paired with the laptop. Additionally, my microphone also sounds terrible. I think that that issue is also rooted in the laptop not recognizing the line in headset since the headset's microphone doesn't show up as an input device either in the control panel. I have tried everything that I found online and the issues still persist. All of the drivers are updated, and I have seen stuff online about disabling "enhancements" in the sound control panel to fix echo, but I don't even see anything that says enhancements in my control panel. After about two or three weeks or fiddling around with it, I am all out of ideas. This headset gave me no issues on my last laptop or my PS4. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If you have an audio software called Waves Maxxaudio, disable it. It makes anything other than internal speakers sound awful.
