    Hyperx 2666 dual channel its what you should be looking for to get the best ram performance and any ssd nvme or not up to 2tb should work just fine look at my specs in my signature 😉

    @xapim

    i have the same model (g3-572) only mine has an "Intel Core i7-7700HQ" and the same ram installed as you since i saw that it actually worked on your laptop.
    But with my laptop it causes to crash games and occasionally it will shut my laptop down and reboot it.

    I know we cant acces our advanced settings in the bios for the xmp profile (mine set to 2.0) since its locked, do you have maby a suggestion of what i could do?

    Your G3-572 RAM and M.2 and 2.5" SSD drives specs are as follows:

    The SSD drive specs for this laptop are as follows; the M.2 type of either PCIe-NVMe or SATA-3 6GB/sec types and the 2.5" drives of the spinner HDD's or SSD of SATA-3 6GB/sec type. Capacities of all hard drives are limited by the formatting system within windows rules of either the Master Boor Recor (MBR) format which is a drive of up to 2TB and GUID Partition Table (GPT) format system which is above 2TB, so check that out but, in the OEM G3-572 and what Acer fits to this laptop is the following; 2.5" drives at 1TB capacity at SATA-3 6GB/sec and the M.2 drives at either PCIe-NVMe or SATA-3 6GB/sec at max capacity of 512GB.

    Kenpachi make sure you upgrade/clone your ssd from the 128gb stock to a larger 512gb/1tb/2tb ( i recommend wdblue normal sata if youre not going to do rendering or content creation otherwise get nvme) and increase your virtual memory i also had crashes in the beginning in most games but after i have upgraded the ram and ssd not a single issue since and still on 1809 ram wise get either vengeance or hyperx 2400 both will work fine and depending on how multitasking you do 16gb should be enough  for the average user/gamer but for me its not i always am multitasking and with chrome opened with 200= tabs so im using about 17.5gb ram at all times xd and dont even need to close chrome to game if i want to still have enough ram left for it  :)
